Northeast Cape Fear German Shepherd Dogs

Northeast Cape Fear German Shepherd Dogs call Beulaville, North Carolina, home. The breeding business is owned by 4 passionate dog lovers Anita, Dylan, Ryan, and Kaleb. This breeding operation has over 24 years of experience breeding German Shepherds. They take great pride in breeding German Shepherds with wonderful temperaments, sound, and easily trainable. Although the breeders have a kennel facility, they say their German Shepherds spend plenty of time out and about on their large property. When the German Shepherd puppies are born, the breeders look after them in their puppy raising kennels.

The puppy kennels roof seems insulated with adjustable heat lamps inside the runs to ensure the pups have the best room temperature. Additionally, the breeders say the kennels are cleaned at least twice with water and bleach to maintain hygiene. If the kennels are soiled more, they clean them more than two times. Similar to many breeders on this list, the breeders dont ship their German Shepherd puppies outside of North Carolina. They encourage adopters to pick up the puppy from the kennel so you will have to fly in or drive.

Best Dog Obedience Training Charlotte Nc

When I train my dogs in dog obedience training Charlotte nc, we do a lot of work on heeling- walking by my side.

Feet together, left foot forward, heel.

This is the footwork that I was taught for heeling. I never questioned it. I just did it. I first learned about heeling footwork, before I even had my first competition dog, and I was taught that you always step forward with your left foot.

I practiced and practiced and 8 years later when I got my first dog as an adult to do dog obedience training charlotte nc, I was consistent with walking forward with my left foot every time. Now, I am questioning if this is the best way to showcase my dogs heeling abilities.

I tend to heel with my feet together and my dog tends to crab on the first step of heeling, but only on the first step of heeling. If I step off with my right foot, then my dog moves forward in a straight line when my left foot moves forward. If I step off with my left foot, then my dog moves slightly in and forward with me. When I move my right leg forward, she moves in a straight line and remains straight until the next time that I move forward with my left leg.

To fix this issue, Im going to try to step off with my right foot and see if we have more precise heel position. Ill keep you posted on the results!

Southeast German Shepherd Rescue

My 3 year old niece " training" my GSD :)

Southeast German Shepherd Rescue exists to rescue German Shepherds, including dogs in high-kill shelters and dogs that are suffering from abuse and abandonment.

This rescue has been rescuing German Shepherds since 2010.

It operates in North Carolina and Virginia, but they may rescue dogs throughout the southeast.

The Southeast German Shepherd Rescue primary volunteers have a combined 30 years of shared experience in rescue.

They are highly dedicated to their volunteers and foster homes and strive to give them everything they need to rescue and rehabilitate German Shepherds.

If you are not sure whether you are ready to own a German Shepherd, check out the Southeast German Shepherd Rescue Foster Program.

This rescue is foster-based, which means that dogs live in a foster home after they are rescued until they are adopted.

Every new foster family means that another German Shepherd can be rescued.

Fostering is an amazing opportunity to get to know dogs, save a life, and become acquainted with German Shepherd ownership without the commitment of adoption and with all expenses paid by the rescue.

Each dog needs to be fostered for at least two weeks, but many dogs require months of rehabilitation before they can be adopted out.

If you would like to adopt from Southeast German Shepherd Rescue, prepare yourself for a fairly rigorous adoption process.

This rescue wants to make sure that if you adopt one of their dogs, you will be their forever home.
