Puppy Biting Older Dog
Biting and chewing on each others face is part and parcel of puppy play and getting to know other dogs. To a certain extent, Im comfortable letting a puppy be a puppy for a few moments, nipping and snapping gently at the older dog to initiate play.
Either the older dog will give in to a bout of play, or he/she will snap at the puppy to let Pupper know, Im NOT in the mood, kid. Since this is exactly how a mother dog would teach her puppies bite inhibition, I tend to let dogs speak their own language to one another to sort out mild differences.
If, however, the older dog becomes VERY aggressive and looks like he could really harm the pup, then by all means, intervene. You could do this by clapping loudly or calling one of the dogs over to you out of harms way, and crating him for a period of cooling down.

When bringing a new puppy into your home, its up to you to give them the opportunity to be the well-rounded pup that they can be.

You Should encourage your puppy to feel comfortable to be handled by different and new people .

Do I Have To Train The Dog To Sleep In Its Bed
In a word, no. As long as you dont mind sharing your space with your furry friend, theres no reason why they cant sleep in your bed.
Just remember that if you start when theyre small, you might be in for a rude awakening when he or she grows up.

If Two Male Gsds Are Fighting
First and foremost, make sure you and any other people are safe. If the dogs are actively fighting, dont try to step between them. GSDs are powerful animals and could easily cause injuries to humans, even accidentally.
Instead, have someone help you do the wheelbarrow move. This is simple and effective, keeping all the people and animals safe at the same time.
Each person simply grabs the back legs of one of the dogs and pulls. Lifting the legs off the ground is ideal as it throws off the dogs balance. But GSDs are quite heavy and you may need to pull back instead of up. Dont throw out your back trying to do this!
You can also use a leash as a sling under one of the dogs bellies if youre by yourself. This method is not as easy though. It still leaves one dog untethered.

Yes and no! My German Shepherds likes larger dogs. She loves playing with other German Shepherds. Sometimes I wonder if she can recognize a dog of the same breed.
My German Shepherd Allie doesnt like small dogs. I think this is because she has been attacked multiple times by smaller breed dogs.
The first time she was attacked by a Chihuahua when she was only a puppy at the dog park. Since then we have had multiple little dogs literally come out into the street while we were walking to bark and growl and try and bite my girl.
She was never leery of smaller dogs before these incidents, but now when she sees one, she is less than thrilled.
