After nearly a decade of studying bloodlines and training thousands of dogs, you know special dogs when you see them. And in this case, raise them. We have two very special dogs in our Protection Program: VPD-K9 Rip and VPD-K9 Freya. We are planning our first breeding of these two exceptional dogs for the spring of 2023.
We expect stock coat sables with moderate to high drives, great off switches, super temperaments and high trainability. Puppies will be suitable for a variety of venues to include Family Protection, Sport Work, Service Work, Law Enforcement and Search & Rescue.
Freya is due to go into heat in late December. Once the breeding is confirmed, we will accept deposits. VPD will be holding back one or two puppies for our Protection Dog program. Puppies will be raised in a family home environment with Early Neurological Stimulation and will be started on crate training and potty training. Professional Training is available and recommended.

What To Expect From A German Shepherd Puppy
Although you have your expectations, its best to take note of the following. It will help you prepare for your pet, especially in the first few days of living together.
As you allow your pet to adjust, do your best to create a stress-free environment for it. Always supervise it as it familiarizes itself with its new home.
At the same time, prepare yourself for your pets habits in the first weeks:
Noisy Sleeping
Snoring is not that common in German Shepherds. Still, it would be best to prepare yourself for loud noises when your pet is asleep.
Moderate Training
German Shepherds are highly trainable. It simply means they respond well, especially to positive reinforcement. For this reason, you may need to allot an hour or so each day for your dogs training.
Squeaky Toys
Out of all toys, your pet will love the squeaky ones. For this reason, prepare for a lot of loud squeaks every time your pet is active.

Like the title states I could not ask for a better pup nor could I ask for a better breeder to get him from. Cindy was so great to work with on the process of getting my puppy. I started talking to Cindy a little under a year before I purchased one of her fantastic puppies. She responded quickly, and honestly, with all my questions She let me come out and visit her dogs whenever I wanted, and after the puppies were born I was there almost every weekend checking in on them, which she was more than OK with. This is a lady who truly cares about GSDs and not just making money as a breeder. Trust me she could sell these dogs for a lot more than she does, but she doesnt because she wants the everyday person to be able to afford a high quality dog!
Duke is great with my kids, I have a 6, 4, and 2 year old that adore him. Mind you I have had to correct some behavior and let Duke know that he is at the bottom of the totem pole, so to speak, when it comes to family structure but he has learned and adapted very quickly.
