Kennels Von Lotta German Shepherds Llc

Cavapoo, German Shepherd, Yorkie, Shihpoo, Puppies For Sale, Atlanta, Georgia Local Breeders

The breeder behind Kennels von Lotta German Shepherds, Yuliya, had the first litter born in 1993. Her love for German Shepherds stemmed from when she was only a little kid. Their dogs are bred to be active, moderately protective, passionate about being with you and playing with you, and very easy to train.

They do best when they are involved in daily family activities. Most of their breeding dogs are imported directly from Germany for a wider choice of sires and dams. Breeding happens only with a male with hips and elbows healthy, is certified by OFA or SV, and has the training, titles, and sound show ratings.

And then getting him titled and shown is the only way to get a German Shepherd female interested in him. Kindly contact Yuliya by phone or visit the website today for more information about their German Shepherds.

Top 5 Reasons Why A German Shepherd Might Not Be For You

Probably the biggest reason why a German Shepherd puppy might not be the one for you is their energy levels. These dogs are pretty playful and want their daily dose of games and exercise. They may not be a good choice for dog owners who dont have free time or lead a sedentary life.

Along with their high activity, German Shepherds are one of those working dog breeds with a strong prey drive and a tendency for herding and nipping. If your GSD exhibits such behavior, you must pay special attention to its training and overall socialization.

Something thats right in the middle of the reasons why a GSD puppy isnt for you is their shedding. Man, they can shed a lot! The shedding gets worse during spring and fall when GSDs change their double coat and get ready for the upcoming seasons.

I mentioned that German Shepherds are playful pooches. Thats not really a good thing, especially if you cant handle their playfulness and mischievous behavior. If you like things to stay where they belong, your German Shepherd wont like that.

Chances are, he will move things just to make you play along.

Finally, I want to point out that even though they do make fine guard dogs, German Shepherds shouldnt be used as guard dogs that keep facilities safe. Theyre sociable dogs, and if you need protection, better install an alarm!

Origins Of The German Shepherd Breed

In Europe during the 1800s, attempts were being made to standardize breeds. The dogs were bred to preserve traits that assisted in their job of herding sheep and protecting flocks from predators. In Germany this was practiced within local communities, where shepherds selected and bred dogs that they believed had traits necessary for herding sheep, such as intelligence, speed, strength, and keen senses of smell. The results were dogs that were able to perform admirably in their task, but that differed significantly, both in appearance and ability, from one locality to another.

Max von Stephanitz, an ex-cavalry captain and former student of the Berlin Veterinary College believed strongly that dogs should be bred for working.

In 1899, Von Stephanitz was attending a dog show when he was shown a dog named Hektor Linksrhein. Hektor was the product of few generations of selective breeding and completely fulfilled what Von Stephanitz believed a working dog should be. He was pleased with the strength of the dog and was so taken by the animals intelligence and loyalty, that he purchased it immediately. This was declared to be the first German Shepherd Dog and was the first dog added to the societys breed register.

Because of Von Stephanitzs strong, uncompromising leadership he is credited with being the creator of the German Shepherd Dog.

Southern Legacy German Shepherds

The breeder behind Southern Legacy German Shepherds is Michelle Brooks , who has had dogs all her life, in which process she learned German Shepherds were the perfect match for her personality. She is a small breeder breeds big, quaint German Shepherds with a particular interest in health and disposition.

Her dogs are relatively quite bigger than the GSD standard ought to be, but this does not negatively impact their soundness. All the necessary health tests have been administered and confirmed .

Mitzi concentrates on what she cares about: Health and disposition in her litter. All the dogs are medium to low energy, making them easy to train and ideally suited for families. She does not breed service dogs, overly hyperactive dogs, aggressive-acting, or dogs with extreme angulation.

The puppies are born and raised in her home! The impact of this is your puppy goes home with you, already socialized with other dogs with cats, and familiar with all the sights and sounds of a regular home. All puppies are also current on vaccinations and a set deworming schedule.

The puppies bred are sold as companions and pets. Just as working dogs are bred to work, Mitzis puppies are born to live in and be a part of a family. Their low to medium drive makes it easy for new parents to match the energy without the pups losing their GSD innate protective intuition for their home and family.

Are German Shepherds Good Family Dogs

German Shepherd, Maltipoo, Yorkie, Morkie, Cavachon, Puppies For Sale, Atlanta, Georgia Local Breede

German Shepherds may have a reputation for being intimidating, but this is only if they are not properly socialized. They are actually quite loving towards their family, and will remain friendly with people they know. As long as they are properly socialized from a young age, they will not pose any threat to those around them.

What Is The Average Price Of A German Shepherd Puppy In Georgia

Like other puppies you get from a breeder, German Shepherd pups are also quite pricey. In general, an average German Shepherd puppy would cost about $500-$1500, and it should also be the price range of breeders in Florida. The price can go lower or higher depending on the offer of the breeder.

German Shepherds are quite expensive due to many reasons. For instance, these dogs arent easy to breed, and they need extensive training. Further, they also have unique features that sets them apart from the rest. Aside from the actual price of the puppy, you may also need to spend more on their food and the items theyll need.

How Much Should You Pay For A German Shepherd Puppy In Georgia

The fact that German Shepherds are pretty common dogs has made their price pretty affordable for everyone.

Still, thats a bit of a trap since many unreliable breeders and puppy mills can sell poor GSD pups and high-quality ones.

A reliable breeder wont sell their puppies for a significantly low price. Also, that price shouldnt be plumped up too high. Somewhere in between is just fine.

The state of Georgia doesnt have extremely high puppy prices. The cost of a German Shepherd is pretty normal. You can expect to pay from $1,000 to $1,500 for an average GSD.

Naturally, the final price is dictated by the puppys bloodline, upbringing, and the puppy package he comes with.

Dont be surprised if you see GSD pups listed for almost $5,000. Show-quality dogs and imports always go for a higher price.

Top 5 Reasons Why You Need A German Shepherd

The undeniable truth is that German Shepherd dogs are terrific family companions. Theres really no need for people to feel scared just because these are large dogs with a dominant attitude.

But, what makes people wish to own a German Shepherd?

First of all, it has to be their loyalty. German Shepherds are extremely loyal, and they will easily create a bond with a specific family member. Theyre sociable dogs, but they prefer to attach themselves to only one person.

However, you wont have to worry about their protectiveness. These dogs will offer personal protection to all their family members, and they wont hesitate. Yes, theyre that alert and ready for action.

Right in the middle of the reasons why you should own a GSD is their intelligence. This means that German Shepherds will master their training lessons easily. Their trainability levels are pretty high, and you shouldnt experience any issue.

Something you should not worry about German Shepherds is their adaptability. They wont mind if you live in a large house or in an apartment. Well, as long as they get their daily dose of exercise.

Lastly, I want to point out that German Shepherds are dogs that are perfectly suitable for living with kids. No, your average GSD is not aggressive. Theyre pretty sweet and caring, and they love to play with little ones.

If this doesnt make them ideal family dogs, I dont know what will.
