One of the best things that you can do to prepare your home for a German Shepherd Dog is to make it safe. This means removing all items that are dangerous, like electrical cords, so your puppy doesnt get hurt. It also means buying a lot of chew toys so they dont get bored and decide to use your favorite pair of shoes as entertainment.
When your puppy is first brought home it is a good idea to confine them to a crate or a small area with nothing on the ground that they can chew.
